Will My Health Insurance Company Cover My Visit?
K Integrative Physiotherapy, LLC is an out-of-network provider. Our patients often receive reimbursement from their private health insurance company. We will provide you with an invoice/superbill receipt to submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. Please note that we do not participate with Medicare at this time.
What can I expect from my session?
All sessions are one-to-one with a doctor of physical therapy who is currently the only practitioner in the DC area who is certified in both modern Counterstrain (not Strain-Counterstain) and Postural Restoration methodologies.
Each session typically involves a test-retest methodology to determine the effectiveness of the intervention (manual or non-manual). This can be very helpful in determining the appropriate dental appliance, footwear, vision prescription, etc.
There is a special emphasis on discovering the underlying cause (roots) of dysfunction/pain/limitation(not just helping with the symptoms), patient education, appropriate exercises, and offering unique solutions and strategies to restore the body to its optimal state.
We do not use aides or assistants.
Sessions typically last for at least one hour depending on the complexity.
What Should You Wear On Your First Appointment?
Wear or bring clothes that allow for full movement ( shorts, workout pants, t-shirt are all good choices). Supportive footwear is a must. Also, bringing your dental appliance and current eyeglass prescription is recommend during the initial visit.
New Patients
New patients are required to provide credit card information on file to hold their appointment.
A typical plan-of-care will involve 3-5 sessions depending on the complexity of the case.
For out-of-state patients, we recommend booking in at least several months in advance to allow 2-3 sessions in one week (or two).
Cancellation Policy
A strict 48 hour cancellation policy is observed for all patients. This requirement allows your appointment to be given to another patient who may be on a wait-list.
Patients arriving late will be charged for the full session. Patients must cancel or reschedule the session within the allowed timeframe or pay for the missed appointment in full.
